Lotus Peel
For an Even Skin Tone
For an Even Skin Tone
Lotus Peel is the ultimate peel, specially formulated to treat and prevent hyper-pigmentation. It is particularly effective due to its unique blend of skin-lightening acids and the ingredients: SepiwhiteTM, an alpha-MSH antagonist (alpha-MSH stimulates melanin production), and lotus flower extract. Lactic and malic acids, in their chiral forms, and an oleic acid impart an even skin tone and texture. SepiwhiteTM promotes brighter and more radiant skin. The lotus flower extract has melanin- inhibiting properties for an even complexion.
Lactic acid, or milk acid, is an alpha-hydroxy acid derived from milk. The importance of this ingredient lies in its ability to exfoliate and hydrate the skin. By removing the dead skin layers, the skin will have a healthier texture and fresher appearance. Lactic acid exfoliates the skin without being harsh – the human body naturally produces this acid so the skin is already accustomed to it, minimizing skin irritation and rejection. Lactic acid has a substantial moisturizing quality as well. Lactic acid Improves the overall texture of the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
A mild alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from apples and used in skin care products to rejuvenate and improve skin conditions. It can be used alone or in combination with other AHA. It’s mainly known to exfoliate and even skin tone, reduce acne breakouts, reduce hyper-pigmentation and signs of age spots, reduce fine lines and wrinkles and relieve symptoms of rosacea. Thanks to its slightly larger molecular structure, malic acid penetrates the skin more slowly and evenly and causes less irritation.
A special compound produced from the lotus plant. It helps to achieve a smooth and even-toned complexion.
Oleic acid is a natural fatty acid, Omega 9, found in oils, such as olive oil. Due to its high fat content, it is very effective in treating extremely thin and dry skin. It soothes the skin and provides the fat it needs. Incorporating oleic acid into cosmetic products allows for better penetration of the active ingredients into the skin, as it acts as a ''gateway''.
This substance is derived from phenylalanine amino acid, which among other things is responsible for the production of melanin in the body, and from the alpha-MSH hormone that is also associated with melanin production. This unique compound helps to lighten the skin as well as lighten pigmentation spots. It gives the complexion a smooth, even-toned and glowing look.
